What is digital planning?
Digital planning is much like traditional paper planning, but instead of using a physical planner, you use a digital planner on your tablet.
A digital planner is typically a PDF file with interactive features such as hyperlinks, clickable tabs, dates, and buttons, making it easy to navigate between different sections and pages. You can import the planner into a note-taking app such as Goodnotes, Notability, or Noteful, where you can write, type, add stickers, and organize your plans – all without using paper or taking up extra physical space.
What do I need to get started?
You need three things:
– A compatible tablet, such as an iPad or Android tablet
– A stylus, such as an Apple Pencil or S Pen, if you want to handwrite
– A note-taking/PDF annotation app such as Goodnotes, Notability, or Noteful
– You will also need the digital planner PDF itself.
The device we recommend is an iPad together with an Apple Pencil and the GoodNotes app. You can also use it on other iOS and Android devices with any app that supports editing PDF files — iOS: GoodNotes, Noteful, Noteshelf 3, Notability, CollaNote; Android: Noteshelf 3, Xodo. Remember that these apps are not included with your purchase; you’ll need to download or buy them yourself from the App Store or Play Store. The planners are not intended for use on e-book readers.
Can I use the planner on my iPhone?
You may be able to open and use the PDF on an iPhone with a compatible app, but our planners are designed with tablet-sized screens in mind.
For the most comfortable writing experience, we recommend using an iPad or another tablet with a stylus.
Which app do I need to use the planner and write in it?
Our digital planners are designed to work with a variety of note-taking and PDF annotation apps.
iPad:
Goodnotes
Noteful
Noteshelf 3
Notability
FreeNotes
CollaNote
Android:
Noteshelf 3
Xodo
Goodnotes note: Since the release of Goodnotes 6, our planners are supported in the paid version of Goodnotes. If you still have access to the free version of Goodnotes 5, you can continue using our planners there without a subscription.
Of all the apps listed above, Goodnotes is the app we recommend most for digital planning.
Can I use the planner on an Android device?
Yes! Our digital planners are PDF files, so they can be used on Android devices with compatible note-taking or PDF annotation apps. We recommend Noteshelf 3 and Xodo for Android. Other PDF-compatible apps may also work, but features such as hyperlinks, navigation, and digital stickers can vary between apps.
Will the planner sync with Google Calendar or other calendar apps?
No. Planners you write your notes into by hand don’t sync with other apps. Our planners include a calendar integration feature that lets you create an event in your calendar app directly from the planner. You will be able to tap a button in the planner to add an appointment to your Apple or Google Calendar.
However, this is a one-way action, not a synchronization. Events you add to your calendar app will not automatically appear in your digital planner. Think of it as a convenient shortcut for adding events to your calendar—not a live connection between the two.
What is your return policy?
Because our products are digital downloads that are delivered immediately after purchase, they are non-returnable and non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
My planner's hyperlinks (buttons) aren't working. What should I do?
If the buttons, tabs, or other hyperlinks aren’t working, you may be in Write/Edit mode instead of Read-Only/Navigation mode.
Most note-taking apps have two main modes:
Navigation / Read-Only mode – allows you to tap buttons, tabs, dates, and other hyperlinks to navigate through your planner. You cannot write or annotate in this mode.
Write / Edit mode – allows you to handwrite, type, draw, and annotate your planner, but tapping a hyperlink may not take you to the linked page.
To navigate your planner, switch to Read-Only or Navigation mode. When you want to write in your planner again, switch back to Write/Edit mode.
The names and icons for these modes may vary depending on the app you’re using.
Will I receive a physical product?
No, these are digital files that require no physical shipping. Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to download the files.
Why does tapping a link make me write instead of opening the page?

Most note-taking apps have two main modes:

Can I duplicate pages?
Generally, yes. Most popular digital planning apps allow you to duplicate or copy pages.
Do I need an internet connection to use my planner?
Usually, no. Once the planner PDF has been downloaded and imported into your note-taking app, you can generally use the document offline.
Do I need to pay for Goodnotes or Notability?
Your purchase of our planner and your subscription/purchase of a note-taking app are separate.
Can I resell or redistribute the planner?
No. Our planners, designs, pages, graphics, and other included files are protected by our intellectual-property rights and are licensed for personal use only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You may not resell, redistribute, upload, reproduce, or claim the planner or its contents as your own.
Can I use the planner for my business?
Our standard license is for personal use only. You may use the planner to organize your own business or work, but you may not use the planner as a product, template, or resource that you distribute to your customers, clients, students, or audience.
I downloaded the planner but can't find the file. Where is it?
Check your device’s Downloads folder or Files app first.
If you downloaded it through a browser, it will usually be stored in the browser’s download location.
